We’re moving!

Can you imagine being free to learn in the city?

MAS has grown and is running successfully. Yet, the current primary floor and the secondary annex have reached their maximum occupancy and cannot meet the growing demand. Therefore, we are now expanding to a more prominent location for more families and children over 13. María Zayas 8 is a more centric and urban building in a dynamic neighborhood that is readily accessible by public transport (L1 Metro and multiple buses). Its location is ideal for urban families and students to participate in society.

The move to the larger facilities of María Zayas 8 is a great milestone in the 10+ years of the project’s history. Committed to its urban feature in the same northwest area of the capital city, the school relocates inside the town, 3kms away from its current location, next to Plaza de Castilla and Metro L.1.

Can you imagine having space to grow and move?

The building is three floors high and, in addition, it includes a basement and a rooftop terrace.

Each stage will be allocated an entire 250m2 floor, in addition to the basement (music, movement space, cafeteria) and rooftop terrace as common areas.

The future classroom surface is triple-fold, allowing to set up a full-extent lab, library, and art workshop, as well as a workspace for teachers and possibly a co-working room for families.

The surrounding sports and nature facilities include Centro deportivo municipal Playa Victoria and Instalaciones deportivas Parque Agustín Rodriguez Sahagún (1km), Centro Polideportivo Municipal Fernando Martín, and Dehesa de la Villa, which will continue to be attended on Fridays.

Can you imagine bringing some air to the city?

After bringing a breath of fresh air to the educational landscape, MAS wants to take it to the city.

This is how we imagine the rooftop:

MAS IS… SUSTAINABLE GROWTH, NEIGHBORHOOD, OPENNESS, GLOBAL CITIZENSHIP, PARTICIPATION, COMMUNITY LEARNING, RESPONSIBILITY, QUALITY, CARE, THINKING OUT OF THE BOX…
